Mindzai Games Studio

We’ve secretly been working on a few projects that have really excited us but we can’t contain it any longer. Mindzai is making video games! TADA! 

We’re going to be taking our many years of tech, toys and retail experience and create new IP brands and game experiences for the entire world to enjoy! Videogames are a place where creativity, fun and technical skills all have to intersect. It’s so perfect for us. 

Our first game is going to be based on our beloved raccoon mascot, HUNTER and is titled HUNTER’S MESS. It’s going to be available on iPhone, Android and HTML5 for web browsers. We are hard at work on the game now and will be ready to play this Summer. More updates to come soon.

Some of you that know me personally, know that I’m a huge gamer. Always have been. SMB3 was my jam for NES, SF2 for SNES, Turtles in Time SNES, MGS2 for Ps2, The Last of us and its sequel, BOTW/TOTK for Nintendo Switch, Celeste, Half-Life 2…These are my all time favorite games. I love to play all kinds of genres too! I really enjoy the art and the planning that went behind it all. 

More recently, in the past few years, I’ve been deeply in love with the world of indie games. What kicked it off for me was Celeste back in 2018. It’s deeply influential to me. Simple, sharp gameplay with a great story and some awesome action scenes too! 

After that, I went to enjoy all kinds of indie games like Super Meat Boy, Limbo, Hue, Cave story, Gato Roboto, Cuphead and so much more. I’ve come to appreciate early flash games way more such as Canabult made way back in the day! Everyone knows about the big companies but it’s these small Indies that often work with teams of one to five people that really inspire me.

This road isn’t going to be easy but I hope that you are all excited about this and I hope you will support us like you have supported our toy shop for more than 12 years now. I’m so grateful for your support!
